Overview

We're seeking a passionate DevOps Engineer to accelerate our cloud-native application development. You will be instrumental in designing, building, and automating robust infrastructure and delivery pipelines for our Node.js microservices hosted on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).  If you thrive in dynamic environments, enjoy solving complex scalability problems, and have a deep understanding of modern DevOps principles, this is the position for you.

What You'll Do

  • Architect and Implement GCP Solutions: Design highly available and scalable cloud infrastructure tailored for Node.js microservices, leveraging GCP services effectively.
  • Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Champion IaC using tools like Pulumi,Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar to provision and manage cloud resources consistently and securely.
  • CI/CD Automation: Engineer robust CI/CD pipelines to enable seamless build, testing, and deployment of our applications across environments.
  • Collaboration and Mentorship: Partner closely with developers and operations teams to bridge gaps, streamline processes, and provide guidance on DevOps best practices.
  • Monitoring and Troubleshooting: Set up comprehensive monitoring, logging, and alerting systems within GCP to detect and proactively address potential issues.
  • Stay Current: Keep abreast of evolving DevOps methodologies and emerging cloud technologies in the GCP ecosystem.

Qualifications

  • Required:
    • Minimum of 5 years of proven DevOps experience.
    • In-depth expertise with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services such as Compute Engine, Kubernetes Engine (GKE), Cloud Storage, Cloud Functions, etc.
    • Strong proficiency in Node.js and experience developing and deploying Node.js microservices.
    • Mastery of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools, preferably Terraform.
    • Extensive experience in building and optimizing CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, CircleCI, GitLab CI/CD, or similar)
    • Solid understanding of containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Nice to Have:
    • GCP certifications (Associate Cloud Engineer, Professional Cloud Architect, etc.)
    • Experience with service mesh technologies (Istio, Linkerd).
    • Database administration skills (SQL and/or NoSQL) on GCP.
    • Proactive and self-driven mindset with excellent problem-solving ability.
